The gale on Tuesday, still not fully calmed by Wednesday forced Organizers of the Grand Prix Petit Navire to delay by 24 hours the first day of racing for the 82 Dragons.In addition to the strong north wind that blows in West Bay, a large Atlantic swell convinced Henry Bacchini, the Chairman of the Committee to annul the day's racing.
Only the Optimists which do not go out in the Bay, raced on their last day.
On Thursday eight to ten knots in the morning progressively mounted to 15 knots mid-afternoon. After 2 races (2 deductions) (81 participants) Red October - RUS 44 lies first, Gorgeous Worgeous - GBR 723 second, and T Bunker -UKR 8 third.
